The girl clearly wasn’t aware this is who she was going on a date with.

I think we have all met people who only talk about themselves and think whatever it is they are saying is one of the most genius and important things. This can be quite annoying for most people because when you are talking with someone, you actually want others to listen as well. However, the frustrations get dialed to a hundred when it is a date.

Because you are kind of stuck on a date and don’t want to come off as rude even when the other person is clearly insulting you and your intelligence. That is what happened with this woman who was unlucky enough to go on a date with him. Although, we do get to read about everything that happened on the date because of this Twitter user who was sitting right beside them.

Anne has done us a great service by live-tweeting the conversation these two are having.

It starts with a simple enough premise.

And he starts talking about the new story he is writing.

We are obviously not getting everything.

The woman is a great listener as he can’t stop talking about himself.

I have to concede that writing isn’t as easy as it seems but he m, makes it sound so dramatic.

of course, he would start talking about ‘real coffee’.

He is just digging his grave deeper by himself.

It as if he is consciously putting in the effort to ruin the date now.

Usually, narcissists will take any opportunity to talk about their accomplishments.

He really is trying his hardest, isn’t he?

It is only the first date and he is already talking about this.

Anyone would start panicking at this.

Having been out of the dating scene for, uh, decades, it seems to me that some people have turned off the radar that tells them when they’re talking to a “loser” before they ever get to the “coffee date”. -KathiMcCallum

This is when she decides that she has had enough and makes up an excuse.

He clearly doesn’t want to let go of this ‘connection’.

But she is trying her hardest to get out of this predicament.

And just like that, she is gone.

I’ve met lots of guys (and girls) like this one. I was a full-time working musician for 38 years (with a degree in music so, not a wannabe rock star), also a part-time PUBLISHED writer. Narcissistic attention-seekers like this one approached me all the time, trying desperately to insinuate themselves in my life. Most are living off their parents or a significant other and claiming to be ‘artists looking for their big break’ so they don’t have to get a job.

They always believe they’re more talented, intelligent, and sensitive than everyone else. And it’s amazing how many of them claim to be screenwriters—it’s because they want to steal a little glitter from Hollywood as well. This girl didn’t run fast enough! BTW, music and writing aren’t all that glamorous or high-paying in the real world lol. -TKayMichel

And he is left with another ‘experience’ to write about.
