Aitah for not realizing what I put my wife through.

Marriage and parenthood are supposed to be about teamwork, but lately, I feel like I’ve been failing at both. My wife (21F) and I (25M) recently welcomed our beautiful daughter, and I thought the best way I could support my family was by working extra hours and bringing in more money. What I didn’t realize was that, while I was focused on providing financially, my wife was struggling emotionally and physically alone. A recent fight has left me questioning whether I’ve been blind to her needs all along, or if she’s being unfair to me after all the sacrifices I’ve made.

Too Little, Too Late?

Let’s find out what other Redditors think about this story.

Now I’m torn between two sides of this. On one hand, I truly believed I was doing the right thing by working harder and securing our future. On the other hand, I can see that my wife feels abandoned, unsupported, and left to carry the weight of parenting almost entirely on her own. I’ve apologized, but she says it’s “too little, too late,” and I honestly don’t know how to fix things. So, Reddit… AITA for not realizing sooner what I put my wife through?
