I’m 37F, and he’s 46M. We’ve been together for a year.
I never really wanted a 3-some, but he did. He brought it up more than once. I wasn’t into it, but eventually, I said yes—mostly for him. I chose the woman. I tried to be open-minded, to approach it playfully, but in truth, I only agreed because I wanted him to enjoy it.

I don’t know why I’m posting this. Maybe just to be seen. Maybe to feel like I’m not crazy for feeling this hurt. He was cold and I felt like crying and breaking down. But at that moment I tried to make him happy and made sure I don’t make it awkward.

Author’s note:
Reading this was truly painful. Even though you didn’t want to, you agreed to something solely because you cared for him—because you wanted to make him happy. And yet, he responded by treating you with disregard and cruelty. You did not deserve that. He was a fool to treat someone so giving, so patient, and so loving in such a heartless way.
You absolutely did the right thing by cutting him off. You deserve far better—someone who values your love, respects your boundaries, and protects your heart. I truly hope the days ahead bring you peace, healing, and the kind of love you give to others.
Yes, it’s going to hurt for a while, and that’s okay. Pain is part of the process. We often give so much of ourselves to someone that they begin to take our love for granted. But please remember: that’s their loss. And deep down, they know it.
You are not alone—and you are not broken. You’re brave for surviving this and even braver for walking away. I hope whoever reads this send you best wishes.
