AITA for Wanting to Sue the Woman Who Let Me Bond with a Dying Bird?

1 min 28 0

Alright, internet, I’m teetering on a moral cliff and I need some serious perspective. Seven months ago, I got my first parrot, a companion I thought I’d have for decades. Now, he has a fatal, highly contagious disease, and I’ve found out the woman who sold him to me knew he was sick all along. The plot twist? She’s now bankrupt and says she can’t be held responsible. A lawyer says I can sue her for emotional distress and damages, but my friends are telling me to let it go. So, am I in the wrong for considering a lawsuit against a woman who’s already lost everything, even if she knowingly sentenced my beloved bird to a painful death?

“It’s Just a Bird” — But Is It?

What I Could Sue For (According to My Lawyer):

So… WIBTA for Suing Her?

Final Thoughts (Because I’m Spiraling Again)

So, what do you think?

Would I be the a**hole if I held her accountable in court?

Or am I just the villain in a world that thinks animals are disposable?

Let me know. I’ll be over here soaking bird pellets in tears.

How did this make you feel?
